  1. Hello from Romania

Does anyone have a recomandation for a good anti-wear oil? From what I have read it should be a a3b4 spec, or am I wrong? I would also preffer an 5w40 because of the price. I change the oil every 5000-8000km and 3-4times per year.

I am open for sugestions on what to choose, I am not as smart as you guys in the oil business.

I used multiple oils in the past, but now I want to choose one that is a good anti-wear oil.

    I used:

Aral 5w40 hightronic, yacco lube f 5w30, wolf 5w30 ms-f (horrible knocking sounds), valvoline synpower 5w30 fe, valvone synpower 5w30, shell helix ultra 5w40, mercede benz 5w30, wolf 0w20 fe (winter time), total 5w30 quartz ineo , and now i am running Total 0w30. And I still have a lot of oils on my mind .. like: mobil delvac 5w40, mercedes benz 5w40 229.3 and 229.5, shell hx8 5w40, mobil 1 0w40, and some from Liqui moly, motul, ravenol and mannol ... but the last ones (except mannol) are.pretty expensive here. The same goes for Lukoil oils - pretty expensive.

From all these oils I liked Mercedes 5w30 229.51 the best, because of it's sound, it made my engine much quieter and when I drained it out, after 5-6000km it was dark like hell and more viscous. I don't know why ..

    So .. any recomendations?

    Thank you

So.. synpower fe 5w30, has a slight rattle noise from cam the camshaft area at winter cold temperatures. It made it to 8kkm. Now i have synpower 5w30 a3b4 - a bit quieter.

I need to change it and i am looking at shu 5w40. Any other recomandations in the same price range? I need something for protection (camshaft shitty material) and noise so no ford spec needed. Ty

    Oh!
I tried SHU 5W40 - it has not good. It drank a bit of it and it withstanded only 7000km, also the engine was a bit loud at first, after 4000km it became silenter.
After that I poured in Mercedes-Benz 5W30 oil. Decent oil - cheap and much quieter that SHU. I now have 6kkm with it and it's gotten pretty dark and it smells like burn so.. I have to change it.

  3. Wolf 0w20 is cheap, like, dirt cheap. I was also thinking about Total Quartz 0w30 9000 Energy. It is real cheap. But i'll try Wolf and maybe if not satisfied of the noise (this winter) I will change it with Total.
I make a lot of small trips, 80% of them less that 5km. so that's why I am looking for something thin to heat up fast and not stress the engine parts. Today I will receive Wolf 0w20 and will be waiting for a warmer day to change it.

Hi. Could you please identify your engine. It would be great if you can tell us about the conditions of this car. IT'll the BE Then statement the easy to the make an advise for you.

I guess 0-20 is not correct option for diesel engine.

Hi. I forgot the engine size. It-s 1.4 tdci 50kw ford fiesta 2008.

I usually don-t put Ford spec oils. I hate them. Too noisy and weak. Just wondering which is better for cold weather. 0w20 or 0w30? I am thinking that 0w20 heats up more quickly and the engine runs better and faster

  7. I know w75/3 fits diesel engines, but I do not recommend that to my clients. I just wanted to know which on is the best option for logan petrol and diesel. Is it MANN, Mahle, Renault, Purflux?
I always strongly recommend Mahle, and I use only Mahle (f0rd), but since I discovered Purflux I am a bit undescided.
    I use google translate.

  8. Best german antifreeze producers: HEPU, Caramba and TeeGee.
I am reluctant in putting in again Yacco. I sense that they have expensive products which don't worth the money. Althou, I have Yacco 90R DOT 5.1 hydraulic brake fluid, Yacco BVX 1000 75W90 manual transmision oil for the gearbox and also had Yacco Lube F 5W30 (big dissapointment). Oh! And for the steering I used Wolf VitalTech MultiVehicle ATF
.I think i'm going to change all of them this summer, to something else.
